Ian Scheele
Mixed media sculptor and theatre designer
Bio: Ian Scheele is a mixed media sculptor and theatre designer based in Moorhead Minnesota who specializes in larger scale installations. He draws heavily on his background in laboratory science, often using forms reminiscent of viruses, zooplankton, crystal lattices, and atomic models. The use of these familiar elements allows viewers to engage with the non-objective sculptures without becoming a specifically identifiable object. Through the work, he aims to incite contemplation and a renewed sense of curiosity in the world.

MiracleArts Team * Not Pictured Rebecca Pirko
Last month, we hosted our very first Create & Connect event at the Rum River Art Center in Anoka and what a night it was! The space was filled with creativity, connection, and, most importantly, smiles.
Our very own Maddie Kopp kicked off the evening by showcasing her latest work. In fact, the entire MiracleArts staff had a chance to share their creative projects. From photographers and musicians to poets and visual artists, the night was a beautiful celebration of expression.
Our featured winner, Elton Keopraseuth, stole the show with his creativity presenting a handmade Duolingo costume, a hand-crafted tea set, and custom graphics he designed for various businesses.

Prof. Insprio’s Mental Health Guide for Artists: Summer Hustle Edition
By Prof. Insprio
Bzzt. Hey creatives! Prof. Insprio here, wired in for Mental Health Awareness Month! Summer's coming, and with it, the craft fairs, gallery events, and commission chaos. You’re booked, busy, and barely breathing. Let’s be real: burnout isn’t a badge of honor. If your brain’s fried, your art suffers. So this month, we're trading burnout for boundaries and learning how to keep your creativity and sanity intact.
Start with your support system. You’re not alone out there, even if it feels like it in your booth. Minnesota has gems like Springboard for the Arts for wellness resources, Creative Kuponya for community-centered healing, and the Walk-In Counseling Center for free, anonymous therapy. Feeling overwhelmed at 2 a.m.? Call someone who gets it. I heard MiracleArts has a great supportive community.
Take breaks like your future self depends on it. because frankly it does. Use the Pomodoro method (25 min work, 5 min rest), stretch every hour, and keep snacks and water within reach. Say no to gigs that drain you. After each event, unplug for at least 10 minutes before diving back in. This isn’t laziness, it’s long-term strategy. Remember: your peace is part of your practice. Take care of your mind, and your art will thank you.
Bzzt. Now go CREATE your own Miracles without running yourself into the ground.

Feel free to contact us at [email protected] if you're interested.
